William J. Zick is a 63-year-old retired Administrative Law Judge for the Michigan Employment Security Commission (MESC) and a former Training Officer for the Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR). Zick began researching the lives and recordings of Black classical composers and musicians via the Internet, and in 2000 launched a website which later became www.AfriClassical.com.
