Eat So They Can Eat

Nylah\'s Catering host first Charity Gala on October 25th 2008Oy Dore, the proprietress of Nylah Catering, a Maryland based catering organization that is known for its exquisite service and its top quality service will be hosting its first Charity Gala on October 25th 2008.

The event will honor, Link a child, a multinational reputable organization whose aim is to elevate the lives of children all over the world. Proceeds raised during the event will be used to sponsor one of Link a child’s project in Nigeria. This project is called LOTS (Love On The Streets) which focuses on the needs of street kids. Project LOTS is also being sponsored by British International School Lekki, Virgin Atlantic Airlines, The British Deputy High Commissions Playgroup and African Child Development Initiative.

There are very few children that choose the streets intentionally. Many are victims of circumstances and for many living on the streets is the only viable way to survive. For many young women who find themselves on the streets, a large percentage find themselves either becoming street workers, drug users or drug cartels. It isn’t a pretty picture. It is commendable that people are recognizing that there is a problem and trying to fix it.

To be part of the solution, you can attend the gala on the 25th of October, 2008 at the Praisner Hall in Burtonsville Maryland. Tickets to the event are $35 dollars for single and $60 for couples. The slogan for the event is,”eat so they can eat”. Go with an open heart and most importantly an open wallet.
