Ethnic Division Remains in Kenya Despite Power-Sharing Deal

Despite a parliament-backed power-sharing deal in Kenya, serious threats still exist that could push the nation into the path of tribal strive all over again.
The caption of this photo in Kenyan rift valley reads: “Maasai warriors clash with members of the Kalenjin tribe on a hill overlooking the Olmelil Valley.” These battles have been taking place daily”, according to reports from the Times news magazine, and started shortly after the allegedly rigged elections in Kenya.
According to VOA reports, some areas of Kenya, such as the Rift Valley region in the west, remain deeply divided over ethnically-charged land disputes.
