Kingston nabs trophy at Teen Choice Awards
Reggae music’s newest sensation Sean Kingston took home his very first trophy at the recent 9th Annual Teen Choice Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles. The elated Kingston was awarded a surfboard for Choice Music R&B Track for his current single “Beautiful Girls.”
An elated Kingston (left) shared with reporters backstage how thrilled he was to receive an award. “It means a lot. I love the kids and I think I am a role model to the kids and a lot of kids watch Teen Choice so it means a lot to me.” Fellow musical Islander Rihanna was also a winner at this year’s event taking home an award for Choice Music R&B artist. Other surfboard winners included Will Smith and son Jayden Smith who won for Choice Movie Chemistry for movie “The Pursuit of Happyness,” Jennifer Hudson who received the Choice Movie Actress for her role in “Dreamgirls” and American Idol host Ryan Seacrest for Choice Movie Hissy Fit.
Hosted by Nick Cannon and Hilary Duff, the Teen Choice Awards celebrates the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion and is presented annually by Fox television as voted on by teens aged 12-19.

looks like a chubby bear. the show was def not so great this year and having Snoop Dogg on a kids choice event was a little distastful. You only have to look at his site to see degrading pornography.

Sean Kingston is doing good, even over here in the U.K.
You hear his single everywhere you go, i am not a fan, I would not have called it reggae, either but the song is catchy and the teens in the U.K love it. Well done
