Nigeria: 1st BarCamp Scheduled for January 25

Nigeria technology blog, Startups Nigeria, reports the upcoming 1st BarCamp for Nigerian technology and web enthusiasts.

The first ever BarCamp in Nigeria has been scheduled to hold at the University of Lagos in Akoka, Yaba on 25 January 2009 as a way to bring people interested in technology, on a variety of levels and topics, together in one place for a day of sharing, learning, networking and brainstorming.

Barcamp Nigeria 2009 theme is: “It’s Time: Translating Technology Opportunities to Reality”.

BarCamp Nigeria will bring people, institutions and enterprises interested in the power of technology – as a topic, an opportunity, or a place of action – together in one location to exchange ideas, build connections, re-frame perceptions and catalyze action of realizing the potentials of technology in Nigeria.
