RISE: London United Against Racism Concert…. featuring 2Face, Dorothy Masuku, Jamelia, etc
On Sunday, 15th of July, all roads will lead to Finsbury park in london to mark London’s free anti-racist music festival, Rise: London United. It features acts from the world of hip-hop, indie, pop, jazz and reggae. This years event is even more merrier as notable names in African music world will be performing.
They African notables include, 2face Idibia (Nigeria), Lolou (Senegal), The Zawose family (East Africa), King Masco (Sierra Leone), Dorothy Masuku (South Africa), Osibisa (Ghana), Harare (Zimbabwe) and many other foreign artists, including Jamelia, Kelis and The Holloways.
It promises to be fun and the desired message will surely be passed across, that is ‘STOP RACISM’. This is the seventh year that the Mayor of London has organised the festival to help oppose racism and celebrate the diversity of London.
