Sasha and Malia Dolls Pulled off Shelf

Sasha and Malia DollsBack in January, the United States’ company that brought the world Beanie Babies introduced two dolls named Sweet Sasha and Marvelous Malia.

After some complaints, petitions, newspaper editorials, and even a stern statement from Michelle Obama, the company decided to pull the dolls off the shelf. The company insisted the dolls have nothing to do with President Obama’s young daughters.

The company’s Web site featured pictures of the dolls marked with the word “retired.”

Who is kidding who? The two dolls above may not be a spitting image of Sasha and Malia Obama, but they sure do resemble (very much so) Michelle Obama.

It’s either this company thinks the world is stupid or they have really dumb spokesmen. Who do they think they are fooling? Anyone can tell they were hoping to cash in on the first kids by making black (ugly unlike the beautiful first kids) dolls. Spare me, silly people!! Michelle Obama well done for standing up to these dummies.
