Nigerian-born Christine Ohuruogu won UK the 400m Olympic Gold Medial since 1924, and the first ever British female Olympian to win the medal has been honored with the MBE (Member of the British Empire) award by the Queen of England.

The 22-year-old athlete talks to AfricanLoft about the journey and life after the Olympics.
African runners swept the Men’s Marathon race Sunday on the last day of the 29th Olympic Games in China. In all, athletes from more than a dozen African countries won medals in events ranging from running and football to swimming and kayaking. VOA’s Scott Bobb reports from Beijing. Take a listen:
