Dr Seyi Oyesola gives an impressive and passionate presentation on the state of health care in his home country, Nigeria, and how he and some of his colleagues were able to perform open heart surgeries in one of the most challenging environment. William built his first windmill at age 14 to power his home in rural Malawi, his story made the editor’s pick on AfricanLoft back in June following his summer debut at the TEDglobal conference in Arusha, Tanzania. Since then the fame of the 20 year old has been spreading. His story is an all-time winner for its motivational and inspirational value.
Back in June, Ethiopian and former World Bank Economist, Eleni Gabre-Madhin, outlined her ambitious vision to found the first commodities market in Ethiopia during the TEDGlobal conference in Arusha, Tanzania. Her “plan would create wealth, minimize risk for farmers and turn the world’s largest recipient of food aid into a regional food basket.”
