The Success of Zimbabwean Farmers in Tsonga, Nigeria

The Nigerian investigative Business Journal, Business Eye, profiles the success story of Tsonga, a farming community revitalized by the foresight of Governor Bukola Saraki of Kwara state and the entrepreneurial spirit of a handful of Zimbabwean farmers invited to the community after their expulsion by the administration of President Robert Mugabe:
“The farmers have grown more crops than the community had ever seen in a long while. “We see so many trailers in town these days, and all they come for is the crops from the Zimbabweans,” said Mohammed Salau, a former staff of the river basin authority, resident in its staff quarters.”

With inflation in 5-6 digits and economy down the toilet can Mugabe still justify kicking out those white farmers in Zim?

We need more of these farmers in Nigeria to teach us more advanced farming and to increase the volume of production so our economic can become better.
