Ushahidi.com - Digital Documentation of Post-election Violence in Kenya

Ushahidi.com - is a digital repository built to capture instances of the Kenyan post-election violence.
Ushahidi is a map-based tool designed by David Kobia of Kobia , according to Hash, the job was done in just 2 days!
After, Mzalendo - a web based project designed to “keep an eye on the Kenyan Parliament”, Ushahidi becomes the second web-driven civic tool initiated by the Kenyan bloggers.
If there is one thing the Kenyans digerati have displayed, it is their willingness, swiftness and ability to communicate and collaborate regardless of their location. This is a lesson for other nationals - particularly Nigerians online, both home and abroad.

Yes, I’ve always been impressed by the ingenuity and cohesion of the Kenyan bloggers at home and Diaspora. This idea emerged from Ory at Kenyan Pundit and several bloggers (Hash, Daudi and others) ran with it, and breathe live into it. An excellent example of a collaborative venture. Nigerians - are you listening…you better!

USHAHIDI is excellent… another Kenyan Collective that has emerged from the post-election crisis is the voices of writers who under the Concerned Kenyan Writers umbrella, are publishing opinion pieces far and wide in response to the situation.
I do not think the collective is getting as much embracement online as it deserves and I think sites like African Loft should attempt to give it prominence.
Most of their work is being published on the website of the literary journal Kwani?
